Continuing with my theme of homes and travel, this piece was meant to reflect of the actual act of moving and packing out of each house that I lived in. I used a fire escape ladder that has been in my room, under my bed for at least the last 3 times my family has moved. I don't know where the ladder came from or how it ended up in my room. I felt it was a good symbol for not only the repetition of packing, which offers very little variation between experiences, but also the lost feeling I get whenever I leave a place. The drawers are set to mirror the ladder next to them.
