"Neon Flow"

5' x 1' x 2'

Metal, Fishing Line, Plasticine Clay, Paint

For this piece I decided to create the structure of a carnivorous fish.  The large tail and torpedo shaped body resemble that of a Northern Pike or Barracuda, two types of toothy, muscular, and powerful carnivores.  Within the welded body I attempted to resemble flow by curving the metal to exemplify the movement of an actual fish.  The metal body is weaved in a neon green fishing line exoskeleton.  From far away, the line is less visible but when approached closer the perspective changes, the light reflects differently, and it creates somewhat of a holographic effect.
