     Flying and the feeling you get when you fly has always fascinated me.   Flying my sailplane or a Cessna or in a helicopter or the 1929 New Standard biplane at Rhinebeck Aerodrome at low altitude is a rush that no one should miss.  Wings of flight is a majestic conquering of the bonds that hold us to mother earth.  I may cover the frame with aluminum so it stands out in my backyard.  Bruce Turner.  Spring 2017.

The water that you and I consume every day, along with the water that is moving through this tree at this very moment, has already passed through and aided the survival of countless beings. If water was sentient, imagine all of the memories and experiences it would possess from previous lives.

This piece represents the mental barrier I put between myself and the outside world. I'm afraid of rejection, so I'd rather be inside a cage that I make for myself than open to the judgments and perceptions of others. Performing with my violin within the confines of my barrier represents the

safety that I feel within the walls that I’ve created for myself, while simultaneously expressing my desire to be able to communicate with those outside of that barrier.

For UD students, move-out season is a time of excitement, stress, and unparalleled wastefulness. It is not unusual to see entire bedroom and living room sets left on curbs or taken away by for-profit junk removal services.

CURB ALERT is a social event to connect students and residents alike with resources for donating unwanted items to local organizations for redistribution. The project aims to intersect awareness and action, engaging the campus community on an accessible platform to create a shared experience that is at once social and didactic.

I was interested in creating an interactive experience for Art in the

Garden. With the confusion of modern life there is a need for a quiet

moment. By making reference to other religious ceremonies, I

created a tactile, visceral, and whimsical experience. A sacred place

that is reminiscent of the fantasy of childhood and the awe of the

spiritual.
