Watch Where You Touch
2019
salt, water, flour, cable, peg board
7' x 3.5' x 5"

This is the story of a dual sided dough wall. It fell from the sky and landed right here, right in this spot. No one knows why. It is touchable, moldable, and comforting. But come a little too close and you might get poked! The wall is double minded and unpredictable. But if you find the right combination of both sides, and look a little deeper, it will reveal something to you. You might get to see its undisclosed psyche. The soft side is held by the pokey side and the pokey side has nothing to hold on to without the soft side. If the wall decides you're an ally, it will willingly hold on to your impression. Interesting. Get close, be gentle, and it might take you back up into the sky.
