colleen, i love this piece. To me, this work focuses on the physical process of sorting and organizing objects. The actual creation of the art in this case is very special and personal. The hours spent by yourself in your own head while monotonously picking up and stacking books into organized piles of visual colors is indeed where the magic of the work resides. When I look at the books on this bookshelf, it takes me to that place in my own head, a quiet cluttered room with nothing but time to just rearrange the space.
