Picking Up the Pieces

Through my progression through sculpture, I've realized just how important process and planning are to a dimensional project. This piece in particular did not work out the way I intended, but instead in the process I received new materials and a new perspective on the outcome. Instead of scrapping it all and starting over, I picked up the fragments of what was left of my original idea and combined it with the unanticipated element of the strikingly stenciled newsprint to create a completely new work.
