Rumination
2019
Sheet Metal, Leather,
Sand, Aluminum
31” X 37” x 17 “
This piece looks back on this semester’s work and the
constant hammering of sheet metal to shape and form something beautiful and
meaningful. It was incredibly satisfying to see what comes from the weeks of
sweat by slamming the hammer. As the semester comes to a close it also gives me
a sense of sadness and destruction which the broken tree symbolizes.
