This piece is in a sense two separate pieces. The top
is made of thin strips of pine bent and adhered to either side of
the base to create a cocoon like space. My intention was to draw the
viewer in mentally more than physically placing themselves in a
unique private space. The base of the top structure is cut from MDF
board to suggest the shape of someone sitting Indian style. The
bottom piece was assembled to create a simple platform structure that
allows others in to get up-close becoming part of the piece.
